Q: Do you know of a natural cure for eye floaters? I would be so thankful if you would help me.
JVW: I’d be glad to help. Try taking a combination of 1,000 milligrams of choline, 500 milligrams of inositol, and 200 milligrams of methionine daily for a few months. This combination should reduce the severity of the floaters, but be patient because it could take several months before you see a difference.
What are…eye floaters?
Floaters are shadow-like shapes that appear either singularly or together in a person’s field of vision, and are most obvious when you look at a plain backdrop, such as a wall. They can be various shapes and are usually described as specks, threads, circles, or cobwebs. In reality, floaters are actually small clumps of material inside the vitreous fluid of the eye that end up casting shadows on the retina. If the number of floaters suddenly increases, or if they are accompanied by flashes of light, this can signal retinal detachment, and you should see a doctor immediately. Otherwise, floaters are an annoyance, but not harmful.
