The killer back pain remedy
Relieving back pain shouldn’t be life threatening. It’s just that simple.
Unfortunately, though, for more than 100 people, what should have been a simple course of relief for their pain has now been linked to a fungal meningitis outbreak. As of my writing this letter to you, eight people have died.
(And they try to tell us that SUPPLEMENTS are dangerous.)
Over the course of just a few days, the number of people who have fallen ill with fungal meningitis after receiving steroid injections produced by the New England Compounding Center, Inc. has grown…and grown. And since experts estimate that 13,000 people may have been exposed to the contaminated lots we’re likely to see the number of victims rise even higher in the coming weeks.
Of course there has been a recall (and doctors are being advised to avoid all products made by the company), but the damage is done.
This is a prime example of why I’m so passionate about changing the way we think about our health. When we’re sick or in pain, we’re told that drugs are the only way to go, that “modern medicine” is the key to our good health. But the risks of pharmaceutical drugs simply aren’t worth keeping them on the front lines against disease and ailments. Not when there are safe, natural options for what ails you.
For example, how many of these victims were offered willow bark or acupuncture before the syringe was pulled out? Were any of them even told about the option of trying MME first? Although I have my serious doubts that they were I can’t tell you for sure.
But what I CAN tell you is that exactly zero were offered injections of natural colchicine, which can safely eliminate back pain forever in just one dose (Nutrition & Healing subscribers can read more about colchicine here.) That’s because, despite the amazing track record of this natural plant extract, the FDA banned it back in 2008.
It’s time to put an end to the mainstream’s war on natural medicine .When someone is harmed when using a supplement or alternative treatment, there’s backlash against all of natural medicine. But when over 100 people are put in mortal danger by faulty steroids, it’s called a “freak occurrence” and everyone looks the other way. Talk about a double standard.
We need to fight the stranglehold that Big Pharma has on our health and demand a new kind of health culture. One in which doctors start with the safest option first rather than reaching for the prescription pad. A culture in which pharmaceutical companies are held accountable for proper testing and trials before unleashing harmful products on the population.
And most importantly one in which we don’t have to stand by helplessly and watch the death toll rise among people who just wanted to get rid of their back pain.
P.S. To read the fascinating article about colchicine I mentioned earlier, you need to be a Nutrition & Healing subscriber. There are many benefits to becoming a subscriber….including full access to all of the back issues. And it couldn’t be easier to join us. Click here to learn more.
